Finance Fixers privacy notice
Last updated: 16 September 2026
This notice explains how Finance Fixers Limited uses information collected through the Finance Fixers website, launch research questionnaire and optional email sign-ups.
Who is responsible for your information?
Finance Fixers Limited is the data controller. For privacy questions, requests or to withdraw consent, email info@financefixers.co.uk.
What we collect
The questionnaire collects your business stage and type, the difficulties you describe, your priorities, experiences of finding help, preferred products and formats, willingness to pay, likely use and feedback. You may also choose to give your name and email address and permission for research follow-up or marketing.
We record your answers, submission time and consent choices. Our website and hosting services may also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and security logs to operate the site and prevent misuse.
You can complete the research without providing your name or email. Free-text answers may still identify you, so please do not include bank details, passwords, tax references, sensitive personal information or information about other people.
How and why we use it
- Product research: to understand founders’ needs and decide which Finance Fixers offering to develop and launch. Where your answers contain personal information, we rely on your consent to use them for this research, recorded when you submit the questionnaire.
- Research and early testing: to contact you if you separately opt in. We rely on that consent.
- News and resources: to send Finance Fixers updates only if you separately opt in. We rely on that consent; agreeing to research does not subscribe you to marketing.
- Website operation and security: to deliver the website, investigate faults and prevent abuse. We rely on our legitimate interests in providing a reliable and secure service.
- Privacy requests: to respond to your requests and meet our data-protection obligations.
Taking part is voluntary. There is no statutory or contractual obligation to complete the questionnaire or provide contact details. You can decline follow-up or marketing and still participate. We do not use these answers to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Who can access it?
Access is limited to authorised people working for Finance Fixers Limited and service providers supporting the website, storage and email. The website is hosted by Hostinger, and questionnaire responses are stored within its WordPress installation using Forminator. Marketing permissions are recorded separately from research responses. We do not sell your personal information.
We may disclose information where legally required. Research findings may be shared as summaries that do not identify individual respondents.
Where information is stored
Our current website server is in the United Kingdom, with hosting backups in Germany. Hosting and email providers may use additional locations for support and service delivery. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, applicable data-protection safeguards must be in place, such as UK adequacy arrangements or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
How long we keep it
We retain identifiable research responses and research follow-up details for up to 12 months from submission, then delete or anonymise them. The new questionnaire is configured for automatic removal of stored research submissions after that period. Any separately retained research exports must follow the same period. We may keep genuinely anonymised findings for longer.
Marketing contact details and consent records are kept separately until you withdraw consent or they are no longer needed. Following an opt-out, we may retain a minimal suppression record to respect your preference and avoid contacting you again.
Technical and security records are retained for as long as needed to operate the service, investigate incidents and satisfy legal requirements. Backup copies are overwritten under the hosting provider’s backup cycle; if a backup is restored, relevant deletion requests must be reapplied.
Withdrawing consent and your rights
You can withdraw research, testing or marketing consent at any time by emailing info@financefixers.co.uk. Marketing messages will also provide an unsubscribe route. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew consent.
You can ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccuracies, deletion or restriction of its use. Where applicable, you can ask for information to be supplied in a portable format. These rights depend on the circumstances.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
We may need information to verify your identity and locate your response. If you did not provide identifying details, or the response has already been genuinely anonymised, we may be unable to identify it as yours.
Cookies and website functionality
The website uses hosting, caching, form and security functions needed to deliver pages and process submissions. Any optional tracking or marketing cookies require an appropriate choice where required. This questionnaire does not add advertising trackers.
Questions or complaints
Please contact info@financefixers.co.uk if you have a concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
